Better Health Knowledge

I know what your thinking... I don't eat MSG. Well guess what? You may be very surprised to find out that you eat this poison a lot more than you may think. About two years ago, I would have told you that I never ate MSG either. What is MSG? MSG stands for monosodium glutamate. MSG is used to make our food taste absolutely delicious. Nothing wrong with that right? Wrong! This favor enhancer was first introduced to the United States in 1947. It originally was created in Japan, thus, the misconception that MSG is only in Asian food. I am going to tell you why this food enhancer is absolutely terrible for you and your family's health and well-being. Hopefully, you will decide to live a better life without this monster.

MSG is very often found in many everyday processed foods and sauces which the average American enjoys regularly. MSG is almost always found in condiments like ranch dressing, and creamy sauces (that are not hand prepared with natural ingredients). MSG is in party foods and snacks such as queso dips, instant noodles and Doritos (except natural Doritos). This monster is also in almost ALL fast foods including many of our favorite sit-down chain restaurants and establishments.

MSG has been studied by scientists and determined to cause problems and obesity in laboratory rats. MSG increases the amount of insulin the pancreas creates and this causes rats to become obese. MSG is added to food for flavor and the addictive effect it has on the human body. People will eat more of a product that contains MSG. MSG has commonly been reported by people of all walks of life to cause symptoms such as Postnasal drip, Diarrhea, Prostate, infertility, and thyroid problems.

However, everyone is different. Some people may seem to have no side effects after eating MSG. These individuals will tell you that they have never experiencing any adverse effects. Others have had many reactions and try to avoid it like the plague. I personally avoid it whenever possible.

After incurring health difficulties two years ago, I personally began to observe my body much more closely. I also began to change the way I treated my body. I personally had long experienced fatigue, cotton-mouth, and restless leg syndrome, all common MSG side effects. However, I didn't know at the time that this enhancer was what was creating my problems. I had no idea that eating at many of my favorite spots was creating my fatigue. I decided then to stop eating MSG.

Now, I almost never experience fatigue, restless leg syndrome etc. Why is that? It is because I am very, very careful not to eat monosodium glutamate. Once in a while I will experience these symptoms, and I can always relate it back to something I have eaten. Anyone who makes a conscious decision to stop eating MSG, will undoubtedly see an improvement in the quality of their life. Do yourself a favor and live your life without MSG.

Other common MSG side effects include: numbness or paralysis, swelling of hands, feet, face, mitral valve prolapse, tachycardia, Angina, shuddering, shaking, chills, flu-like symptoms, disorientation, mental confusion, bi-polar, hyperactivity, especially in children (A.D.H.D.), Attention Deficit Disorder (A.D.D.), behavioral problems - delinquency, rage, and hostility and more.
