Many people experience hair loss in their lifetimes, either a light case or a severe case. It is bound to happen at some point, especially as we age and go through changes in life. Many people never know the real cause of their hair loss, and that can make it difficult to treat.
One of the main reasons we lose hair is due to stress. Being tired, stressed, under pressure, and having a million things to worry about effects your hair and body drastically. You may notice a spike in testosterone, or a loss of certain hormones. Your body starts to work a bit slower when stressed, and things get out of control internally. As a result, your outer body such as your hair, begins to lose nutrients and proteins that it needs. You can prevent this by doing yoga, running, or any sort of activity.
Your diet also plays a role in hair loss. People who constantly eat McDonalds and Burger King and other take away meals will experience hair loss, even if its not large clumps. When eating a poor diet that lacks fresh foods, you do not take in many vitamins that your body needs, and you primarily feed your body bad fatty acids. Taking a multi-vitamin and drinking plenty of water and fresh foods will keep your hair strong, shiny, and less likely to fall out.
If you were recently prescribed a medication of some sort and started experiencing hair loss, go to your doctor, or read the side effects lists. Many medicines cause hair to fall out, and it will stop shortly after you discontinue the medicine.
Genetics control us. We are who our parents and grandparents and ancestors were. If they have balding or hair loss problems, chances are you will too. It is all dependant on the ages and living factors. Doctors can prescribe drugs to reduce this and make new hair grow in.
Too much sun can make you lose your hair as well. Environmentally related issues can weaken your hair and cause the delicate strands to fall out mercilessly. Use a UV protecting spray on your hair to prevent damaging rays from penetrating the hair shaft, and try to avoid polluted areas. These things may seem insignificant but they can really change your hair growth patters!
