Dry Itchy Back - Apply Lotion

Got a dry itchy back? Wish you could apply lotion? Follow these simple steps.

Steps

1. Get a spatula. Wooden is more gentle, but if plastic is all you have, it will also work.
2. Spread a liberal amount of lotion onto your spatula. Don't worry about using too much, as you can always scoop the lotion back into the container.
3. Flip the spatula upside down, and stretch your arm like you're going to scratch your back.
4. Spread the lotion around your back.

Tips

* Pick a lotion with a good effect on you. If your looking to be energized, mint is always a good choice. If it's right before bed, try a soothing scent, like lavender.
* This same technique can be used to apply massage oils as well. (Note that the higher viscosity of such oils does require a greater skill in application)

Warnings

* Applying too much lotion too often can make your back oily.

Things You'll Need

* wooden spatula
* lotion
